just went there for the first time yesterday. i just couldn't wrap my head around how beautiful it was and how relatively close it is to the city! the mountain laurel (which i also thought was a rhododendron) was in full bloom and we saw beavers, warblers, swallows, and much more. here's my little blog entry about it:

Mountain Laurel I think, not rhododendron.
