I miss wildflower fields. I spent the summers of childhood rolling around in them in Ukraine. I want to take a hiking trip one day with the sole purpose of a pilgrimage to a wildflower field. Like maybe to Mount Rainier I also heard that there are sudden and short lived wildflower fields blooming near deserts and steppes, in places like Arizona and New Mexico.

Yes!!! Yes yes yes! Thank you! Lying in wildflower fields just does not happen to me as often as when I used to live in Russia. I can even say it never happens. Last time my parents walked through wild flower field and picked flowers was also 10 years. 10 years ago is when we moved here. I want to go to Montana maybe just for that reason as well, to lie in wild flower fields but I am afraid of wild bears. I heard there are a lot of them there. I made pilgrimage to the Antelope valley Poppy Preserve but you can't walk through the fields or lie on them. It was very disappointing. I believe it is the same in Olympic National Park.
